4. ESSAY
REVIEW & EDITING
Typical Applicant Situation: I know my profile and my value points. I'm clearly and competitively positioned. I know how each essay and each part of file add value, and how they will work together. I've written a first draft of my essays. Now I need help.
ESSAY CONTENT REVIEW
We review and rework the content of your draft. In discussions with you we refocus and change emphasis where necessary so that it communicates your value and positioning more clearly. We make sure you avoid known pitfalls.
WRITING ENHANCEMENT
We reorganize and rebuild your essay, and where necessary rewrite copy (in your style) to improve direction and flow. We cut low-content air bubbles without compromising meaning, giving you more space to make statements of value. We help you find and develop imagery and stories.
STYLE, GRAMMAR, AND EXPRESSION EDITING
We polish your essays to the highest standards of style, expression, and linguistic and grammatical correctness. We clarify and enhance sentence construction, word choice, and paragraph flow, and even out word register and the essay's overall tone.
[$55 per essay review]
An essay is up to 500 words
max 650 incoming words. Pro-rata applies to longer
essays
Note: It normally takes two reviews to get an essay set
right. Round one reviews and builds content, structure,
and profile strategy. Then you rework your essay. The
second review focuses on expression, style, grammar, and
final polish. Depending on how you work, a third review
may be necessary. For more explanation please see the
FAQ.

practice making your points fluently and fielding tricky questions while staying "on message".
REFERENCES PREVIEW & REVIEW [$65 per review]
We help you tactically position your references, where necessary, to get the effect you need: reinforcing highlights and plugging holes. This includes
which referees to choose and how to "prepare" them.
RESUME REVIEW [$90]
We look at your resume from an admissions viewpoint, and help you target it appropriately, so that this part of your application actually helps you.

application to identify what went wrong. We show you how
not to make the same mistakes twice, and help you with
your specific needs as a reapplicant.
BEFORE-YOU-SUBMIT-IT, ASSESS IT [$90]
Even if you're not a client of MBA Studio, we don't want you to get dinged. When you are ready to press the "Submit" button, send it to us first. We'll look over your application file, essays, and references and then spend 20
minutes on the phone with you, telling you how likely it is you will succeed, why, or why not. We'll tell you what you should do, if anything, to improve your chances.
Fix it first.
Once you are a "reapplicant" you will struggle to get in
anywhere good.
